USBEWARE....Horrible experience.....broken promises, Bait and switch tactics and uses scammer carriers. Price initially quoted, deposit taken of $1007.00. I did research on the Moving Carrier chosen by Peapack to do move..horribly rated and was changed to another carrier. Next said moving company had scammer mover that personally called me days before my move and tried to tell me to avoid Peapacks quality control cause they would rip my off. I called them immediately and they addressed that issue and once again said they trusted that company but the person was a bad apple in the business and was fired. The day before my long distance cross country move the owner Jim and I did a face time of my EXACT Quality control inventory. There were a few things missing and additional monies were once again charged to my credit card. The day the movers arrived to take my things was crucial because my house was sold and I was leaving the next day by plane to my new job across the country. From the minute these moving people walked in the door in was told that the move could be over $8700 based on the only 500 ft I was given not the exact visual inventory. I showed Jim on FaceTime everything that was being moved. Movers said it’s not about items it’s about space. After haggling for over 2 1/2 hours and literally no support or resolution, the movers left and I am stuck in a nightmare of a situation. My things are all at my house that will no longer belong to me in several days at closing of home and I am flying out of state tomorrow to begin a new job. Iâ€m left abandoned, stressed out, betrayed and have no idea how I’m going to get my things moved or by whom. Everyone at Peapack says they customer is important don’t stress, don’t worry and they value your business but it’s an absolute scam. They take your money and farm out the move to substandard carriers who then jack up the price beyond belief. This experience had turned my life upside down and put me in a horrible situation. My leaving town permanently with all my belongings behind. Such dishonest and unethical treatment from Peapack and Packrite Moving Company. The Moving crew said this happens all the time and it just happened with the last customer as well Smoke and mirrors folks ! BEWARE!!!

We put our trust into PeaPack and let them guide us in the right direction! We are extremely thankful for the easy process and the ease of mind knowing that it would all be taken care of for us.
